A decade ago, a nuclear war left the country a wasteland. Gabriel and a small group of survivors have been living in a bunker deep within the mountains — but a disturbing discovery on a scavenging trip makes him question everything… A riveting dystopian read!

Reminds me of the game Fallout.

Outriders By Jay Posey [Science Fiction]

When an elusive villain comes back from the dead, Captain Lincoln Suh leads an elite squad of secret operatives on a high-risk mission to stop her. “Action-packed science fiction that grabs and doesn’t let go” (New York Times bestselling author Jason M. Hough).

The Macht are a race of relentless warriors controlled by the Great King of Asuria. But the king’s brother wants the throne, and he’ll turn the Macht on each other to get it. Can these champions overcome their own conflicts to become legends?

NEED to know!

I remember reading one of his books when I was young. It was part of our little classroom book collection in school. Fond memories, and fun adventures with those rabbits.

Something for those X-File fans : )

Embarrassing, but I’m sure they’ll pull through.

Other Fun Stuff

…And who thought practicing with sharp blades was a good idea? O.o

XD I busted a gut.

Makes sense : )

Book and Author News

After changing the beginning three times I think I finally have how I want the next book to start.

[ You’ve only written the beginning!? ]

Ha, no. Don’t worry, I’ve written several chapters already. The beginning is the most important part! I didn’t want a beginning that only satisfied people who’ve read the The Knight’s Order. I wanted new readers to come in and be excited too (and not confused).

So I continue the long trek uphill. I was thinking, once I have it hammered out better, I may offer it as a sneak peek if people sign up for my newsletter. Good incentive right? We will see.

Relaxation and Fun

Witcher 2 was fun, and now I’m trying out Fallout 3. I played New Vegas some time ago so now I know more about how the game works. I never played 1 or 2, but 3 is interesting so far.

Have a great week!

I heard it was good, but have still yet to see it. Maybe when it’s out on Netflix if ever it is.

I keep seeing the advertisement for the game. I was never really into Final Fantasy, but I did play FFX and see FF Advent Children. Cloud seems cool, and his story-line is interesting.

This story reminds me of Killjoys (the sci-fi series) a little.

An insight that many people can relate to.

Again, heard good things but I wasn’t super excited about this one. Maybe I’ll be wishing I’d seen it sooner once I watch it eventually.

Don’t miss out on your chance for it!

I feel the same way. I haven’t gotten into any podcasts yet, and I prefer reading or watching the video. For now anyway.

My favourites were The Troll Hunter and The Enemy Within.

Mischievous. I think my version sounds better xD

Bastard swords are one of my favorites.

Book and Author News

The Knight’s Order is doing pretty well. It now has 400+ sales to its name. Thank you eveyone for your interest, and I’m thinking about some goodies I can maybe provide in the future: Q/A about the story, comics, etc. If you have any ideas feel free to let me know.

Book 2 is coming together don’t worry. I’ve been planning, writing, rewriting. I’ve heard that the sequel is more difficult than the first book, and I’m beginning to think they’re right.

Relaxation and Fun

I’ve started playing Witcher 2 recently (giving Oblivion a little break). The game was on my list for a while but I finally got into it. I really like creating my own characters, so I was disappointed when that wasn’t possible. This is the first time I’m learning about the story, but I’m liking Geralt now and I can see why people enjoy this series so much. And yes I know I’m behind because Witcher 3 is out -____-

I’ve played this many times. It’s definately fun, and is my first game of choice when I get together with family or friends.

Love Letter

The strategy for the game can get pretty interesting.

=&2=& video: starts at 19:35

If you like bluffing, this might be a game you will enjoy.

Roll for It

In Roll for it! players try to score 40 points by rolling dice and matching cards of specific point values. Each roll presents the player with new opportunities and fun decisions to make. The rules are simple – Roll It!, Match It!, Score It! But look out! Other players may steal the card you’re shooting for. –excerpt from the game page

Game-play video

If you like games that are simple, fast, and fun. Then Roll for it!

Sushi Go

Pass the sushi! In this fast-playing card game, the goal is to grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by. Score points for making the most maki rolls or for collecting a full set of sashimi. Dip your favorite nigiri in wasabi to triple its value. But be sure to leave room for dessert or else you’ll eat into your score! Gather the most points and consider yourself the sushi master! –excerpt from the game page

Game-play video: starts at 18:45

Not exactly fantasy, but the game is so much fun that I just had to share it. And even people who don’t like to eat sushi can enjoy it!

The Lord of the Rings

lordoftheringsA meek Hobbit from the Shire and eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle Earth from the Dark Lord Sauron. –excerpt from the movie page

Great movie for a classic story.

The Hobbit

hobbitA reluctant hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain home – and the gold within it – from the dragon Smaug. –excerpt from the movie page

Entertaining with action and humor.

Dragon Heart

dragonheartThe last dragon and a disillusioned dragonslaying knight must cooperate to stop an evil king who was given partial immortality. –excerpt from the movie page

I loved this movie growing up, and I’d suggest it to anyone.

Robin Hood

robinhoodIn 12th century England, Robin and his band of marauders confront corruption in a local village and lead an uprising against the crown that will forever alter the balance of world power. –excerpt from the movie page

My favorite Robin Hood movie. It felt slightly more realistic which made it easier to like and relate to the characters.

underworldSelene, a beautiful warrior, is entrenched in a war between the vampire and werewolf races. Although she is aligned with the vampires, she falls in love with Michael, a human who is sought by werewolves for unknown reasons. –excerpt from the movie page

This is more of an urban action fantasy, but who doesn’t love vampires and werewolves?

Attack on Titan

attackontitanAfter his hometown is destroyed and his mother is killed, young Eren Jaegar vows to cleanse the earth of the giant humanoid Titans that have brought humanity to the brink of extinction. –except from show page

The concept of the story-line blew me away. It is a bit gory, but that’s what happens when giant humanoid creatures eat people.

Fate Stay Night

fatestaynightThere is a war going on between masters and servants in order to attain the Holy Grail. Each master can call up one servant each, and their task is to eradicate the other servants, either by defeating them or killing their master. When there is only one master or servant left, he or she is granted the Holy Grail, and any wish they desire will come true. –excerpt from the show page

I liked this one so much I want to watch it again!

Avatar: The Last Airbender

avatarIn a war-torn world of elemental magic, a young boy reawakens to undertake a dangerous mystic quest to fulfill his destiny as the Avatar, and bring peace to the world. –excerpt from the show page

The story-line was a refreshing change, and the humor and drama kept me watching episode after episode.

hacksignA strange boy named Tsukasa appears in the online video game “The World”. He claims to be alive, and without a computer. –excerpt from the show page

The end had an interesting twist, and the journey there was pretty entertaining.

Spirited Away

spiritedawayDuring her family’s move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts. –excerpt from the movie page

I can’t remmeber why I got this movie, but I’m glad I did. I rooted for the character the whole time.
